How to download apps on android

One of the things that makes a smartphone so great is the apps you can install on it. Some are free, some are paid, and mostly all can be accessed through the Google Play Store. Here’s our guide on how to install an application on your Android device.

Browsing the Play Store

First, navigate to the Play Store. You’ll see two green buttons at the top that read “apps” and “games”. Choose whichever one you’re looking for, and you’ll be presented with featured, recommended, free, and paid applications.
If you know exactly what you’re looking for, click the search button on the top right of your screen. Type the name of the app you’re looking for, and choose it.

Free Applications

Once you find an application you’d like to install, click it, and choose the “install” button. A page will pop up telling you what the application can have access to on your phone. Most of the time, if it’s a well-known app, you won’t run into any trouble. Once you’ve read through, click “accept”, and the app will begin installing to your phone.

Paid Applications

Paid applications take a little more work than free ones. Once you find an app that you’d like, instead of an “install” button, you’ll see the price of the app. Click the button, and then choose “Buy”. You can use your credit card or your Google Play balance to pay for the app. You’ll need to type in your Google password to proceed. After the password is in, the app will begin installing.
If you decide you don’t like the app that you’ve just purchased, you can get a refund within the first 15 minutes of installing it. Navigate back to the app in the Play Store, and choose the “refund” button. The app will uninstall and you’ll get a refund!

Your apps/wishlist

The Play Store does have some extra options that can come in handy. From anywhere in the Store, swipe from the left-most side of the screen to the right. You’ll see a menu that gives you a few options. Here is where you can choose to see a list of all installed apps, your wishlist, or you can choose to redeem a gift card if you have one.
